The tongue wing construction in the upper enhances the fit and minimizes tongue movement for added comfort. Complemented by an engineered jacquard upper, these shoes offer improved stretch, ventilation, and durability.

Great all around running shoe, stable platform with great cushioning and very light weight. I came from a minimalist shoe prior to the Novablast 5 and I have already bought 2 more pairs I liked them so much

We started power walking 3+ miles steep incline daily over a year ago. Wore Brooks, On Running, Hoka, and Others. By far Novablast and Noosa are the best. It is absolutely our go-to.

After testing shoes at a local sporting goods store, I ordered my usual size in the Wave Teal/Black color. However, the heel was very tight, and I developed back pain after wearing them at home for only half a day. I’m unsure if ASICS manufactured this particular color with a tighter fit, or if it was a defect. I returned them to an ASICS store and purchased the same shoe in a wide width.

The shoe is fantastic. Comfy, simple, and supportive as ever. The laces also stay tied which has been an issue for me with running shoes. My only issue is shipping, they use Pandolion which are terrible. But apart from the terrible shipping company (that has permanently closed down in some areas) the shoes are worth it.

I bought this a month ago and its is so close to being a great all around trainer. However, it falls short with any kind of rain or wetness on the ground. You can feel your feet sliding and uncomfortable instability. Given the shoes are new and the tread is fresh, I expect better. I did not have this issue with the Novablast 4.

The support of this shoe is lacking. All in all during the past 2 years I have owned 8+ pairs of ASICS. They have done something different in the design of their on-going new products. For whatever reason they changed the support structure of their shoes, and it is not as good as it was two years ago. This has caused me to look at other brands. I am now wearing Brooks Beast GTS, but they are not as good as ASICS Gel Nimbus were just a few years ago. I think the best shoes I have had in the past year have been GT-2000 12. The NOVABLAST 5 is not a great shoe and not worth the money.

I recently started to train for my first half-marathon and after seeing my 2 kids running with their Novablast 5, I decided to buy a pair for myself – best decision ever as these shoes are extremely comfortable, super light and ergonomically designed to feel like you are running on clouds

Two runs so far in Novablast 5. I’m a mid-60s lanky man running 4-8 mile, flat and hilly, at 9-11 min/mile pace. The Novablast are true to size fit, comfortable from the start, and light and performant enough to be fun. The tread has ‘ok’ grip in wet (slipped a little but not bad), and the tongue design isn’t great; not sewn up the sides of the upper. Other than those ‘nits’, this is a very solid training shoe which provides some speed without being too bouncy, harsh, or too soft. Good choice.

I had high expectations for the Novablast 5, given the widespread praise for its FF Blast Max cushioning, which is similar to that of the Superblast.
Initially, I purchased the standard width, but it was too tight. When I bought the wide-width version, I was surprised to find that the shoelaces were 810 cm shorter than those in the standard width. I returned the first pair of wide-width shoes and bought a second pair in the same size, only to face the same short shoelace issue. As a result, I had to buy new shoelaces.
It’s perplexing why Asics would provide shorter shoelaces for wide-width shoes, which are presumably designed for customers with higher-volume feet. This is the second time I’ve experienced shoelace issues with the Novablast line.
A few years ago, when I bought the Novablast 3 Lite-Show, I discovered that the left and right shoelaces were different lengths. At a $140 price point, I expect better quality control and consistency. I hope Asics addresses these issues in future releases.

Extremely comfortable with lots of cushion. Great for long walks and standing on your feet for long periods of time. The sole is the real star, but the upper is a stong supportive role. This shoe is not too tight on the width and has a great fit for my foot. I would recommend this shoe to anyone. I walked all over Kyoto Japan in these and they did not disappoint. Made my trip there exceptional.

The Novablast 5 FF Blast Max foam is just the right mix of foam, absorbs most of the shock on my joints without too much bounce. They are ideal for easy/moderate pace running. My legs and joints after a run are in great shape after a run in the Novablast 5. I like the Novablast 5 so much I purchased a second Novablast 5 ASICS Track Club version!

I love these shoes. They feel great and are fun to run in. My only complaint is that I got these in white and have run through the snow a few times and the shoes are now black in the toe box.
