I was battling plantar fasciitis last fall. My physical therapist recommended I try Fleet Feet. After the exam the saleslady gave me 3 possible pairs to try. The ASICS were my choice. I have worn them constantly for the last few months. I have the black with white soles pair. I decided I needed another color . I love the gray color. That is how I became an Asics lover.

I found this updated model had a bit of a different fabric in the toe box.

Missing Model 12! Have always worn GT-2000s and this is the first model I dont LOVE. The 13s have what seems like a longer shoe tongue that rubs against my leg AND causes shoe laces to become untied often.
Cinman –
Not for me. A little to much cushion. Im not a fan of all the thick soles.

Mesh was like a piece of cloth–not supportive. The arch had little to no support. Not for someone with flat feet.

These are really pretty navy blue shoes. I like the sheen that is woven into the fabric. I’m looking for a pair of shoes that blend in with my navy blue jeans, so that they don’t clash with whatever color tops I wear. The reason I am returning them is that the back of the heel comes up high. Although very cute, it catches my jeans and keeps them crunched up on the inside of the shoe in back. That doesn’t look good.

The fit was true to size but the toe box was too narrow to accommodate my small bunion. The shoe is lightweight but I don’t like the bulky look.

These running shoes are light weight but not as much cushion as my last pair

At last! Finding narrow width shoes that are actually narrow feels like a miracle. These lightweight shoes fit perfectly (8.5 N), really grip my foot, seem to add energy to each step. They are the only ones I will buy from now on.

The tongue is not padded like they used to be. Overall the ASICS shoe does not feel as good as prior purchases.

I broke from my tried and true Brooks to return to the Asics GT2000 because it was the most comfortable and cushy shoe I tried on at the running shoe store. I live in the Seattle area and was contemplating going with the Brooks Ghost GTX to keep my toes drier because my current Ghosts do get my toes (on top only) a bit wet on soggy runs. I tested out the Asics this morning on damp roads after the rain had stopped and my socks were damp within .5 mile. Then my toes were freezing cold as the moisture moved to my midsole. I remember why I stopped using these shoes over 15 years ago because they do nothing to keep socks dry. The salesperson even told me that Asics are designed in Seattle. I find this hard to believe or else I’d hope more effort was made to protect feet from the dampness. Hopefully the shoe store will take these back or else I’ll just save them for the rare dry day in Seattle. On the plus side, I did enjoy the feel of the shoe and I ran noticeably faster, but it may have been in an effort to get home to warm up my cold feet. I’m trying to add photos I took of a paper towel I stepped on after I took my shoes off to demonstrate how badly water intruded into the shoe so TBD…

Finally have a good fit… very few shoes have narrow and these are perfect!

The tongue has zero padding on this version of the ASICS GT-2000 13 and the treads are non-existent and look like scratches into plastic with a knife they are so shallow. I only wear ASICS because I have a 10 N foot. The fit is great for a 10 N, just like the GT-2000-10, -11, -12 and the Gel-Kayano, but the quality is a 1 star. I am Returning these immediately even though I need another pair of 10 N, which are very hard to find. I will not buy a shoe without tongue padding and without tread. Period.

my new favorites, lots of cushion, fit true to size
Einie –
The sneakers were AA width and there was half inch on the outer edge of my foot; not as narrow as my previous ASICS sneaker, I dont understand why they were so wide? Had to send back. I have 3 pairs of ASICS sneakers and needed new ones!! Please make your NARROW sneakers NARROWER!! I love your sneakers and now I cant get the right fit!
Carlue –
The outer soles are very slick on snow. I’ve worn the same shoe style for 20 years and never have had this problem.
I’m an avid runner, marathons, et cetra..
I actually feel getting into our truck and slipped taking out the garbage. I don’t like the new soles at all.
Crystal 1 –
Personally they were just not confortable. They had too much cushion which lead to my feet hurting after wearing them.

This GT2000 13 fits – finally a GT 2000 that works for my feet – its been a few years- this model is a good one!

Another win for the GT2000. Solid experience and perfect fit.

This shoe look nice, but didn’t fit at all. Couldn’t even try it on.
Katie987654 –
I purchased these shoes to help with my foot pain in many sneakers. I wear orthotic arches so I needed something roomy. The cushion in these is great and the toe box provides room. The foam on the bottom is thick so the shoe definitely adds an inch to my height, but other than that, I like these.
JnDK –
Been buying Asics for years. Love this latest pair. Got them in wide as my feet are widening as I get older. They feel great!
Had E –
These are SOO comfortable, I love them. The only shoes I wear now, these are my second pair
Kate F –
Comfortable, fits true to size, good value. Great for running and walking.
