I purchased these for my husband for a Christmas gift when I noticed the soles of his older Asics were wearing thing after 4 years. The tan color with the black accents was my favorite as they can be worn with slacks and jeans for a casual look without appearing overly bright/gaudy or athletic. He reports the shoes are comfortable and they are true to size. He was very happy with the selection and would purchase them again.

After wearing these for two weeks I’m satisfied. Wish there was a way to more accurately know if a regular or wide fit is needed as it’s unique to the shoe. I ordered regular but appears wide would have been a better option.

Disappointed. All the ASICS are now cheaply made Skechers. I dont want to walk a mile off the ground and have mt foot roll to a low toe box. Felt like walking on a roller coaster. I miss the Gel Kayano 27.

Over my years, its been my experience most shoes, even though the fit is good, will take a little while to REALLY feel like the shoe was molded to your feet. Not so with this shoe!! The moment I stepped into the shoe, it felt like I was walking on air, the feel was great as well as the actual walking. LOVE THEM and will buy this or similar again!

These shoes are amazing! I lost a previous pair of ASICS in a flood and brought a fairly expensive of Skechers at a shoe store that had great reviews for support. Major mistake… They are comfortable for a couple of hours then my feet and ankles hurt so badly I can hardly walk.
These ASICS impressed me. Day one was a 12 hour, 25,000 step shift and my feet barely hurt. I hadn’t broken them in at all, and they provided so much comfort and support right from the start! I’m still loving them after a week.
I walk a lot and put in some long shifts. I also have arch issues – they go quite flat when I walk – and these shoes help me get through the long days very comfortably.

I waited a full month of wear before reviewing this shoe. This new GT-1000 version 13 is better than ALL the past releases. They are supportive, stabile, good arch support, and my feet, ankles and arches, do NOT hurt after hours of walking. I’m not a runner, so can’t comment on running performance. I just needed a shoe that felt stabile, but not confining. Supportive, but not rigid. These fit the bill. Oh, and I needed a 4E extra wide, and these are roomy even for my duck feet. I can wiggle my toes with them on.

11 WIDE was perfect for my wide flat, over pronating feet. I ordered the GEL Kayano 30 and loved the fit, style etc. Unfortunately, the sole was too stiff for me, not enough flex. The GT 1000-13 fits as nicely and has a give cushion wise and moves with me. I have gone thru over 10 pairs of shoes and finally found one that works in the affordable price range. Just can’t feel good about spending $150+for running shoes.

Comfortable, stable walking platform. I walk an hour a day on pavement and, even with an after market orthotic inserted, these shoes could use a bit more cushioning. My heals are bit sore/tired at the end of my walk. My prior pair of Asics GT-2000 9 were more cushiony and left my heals feeling more comfortable at the end of my walks.

I have run in the previous versions of the GT-1000 for a few years, and this new model #13 is a solid improvement in cushioning, stability, and comfort. I am satisfied with the updates in the 13.

fit was spot on (for me, at least). There’s good arch support, I have high arches, so this helps me avoid plantars fascitis from cropping up.
They are supportive, in that they keep my foot from rolling outward to the outside, yet, they don’t feel hard or too stiff. Some ‘support’ sneakers are just too stiff and restrictive and that doesn’t work for me. These are as close to perfect as I have found yet. My son has my same foot issues and he told me “Mom, these are the best shoes, yet” And where I have high arches, HE is flat footed as a duck-yet, he says, he like the arch support. Now, all this being said, we are not runners. We just use these for all around use and walking.

The shoe is very comfortable and the fit is as expected. The way its made does help with pronation issues. The only issue is the laces arent as nice as they used to be. Otherwise the shoe is perfect

I have ASICS for years. I order same shoe, same size (10 1/2 4E). This time the shoes were a half size too large, so I returned and ordered the smaller size. No issues and shoes are great.

While the shoe is awesome, it does not help with overpronation, as suggested. The soles are incredibly soft and squishy. Great walking around-all-day shoes, but not great if you overpronate and blister.
