I bought a 1/2 size bigger as per other reviews and they fit perfectly. I play pickleball 4-5 days a week and these shoes were very comfortable right out of the box no break in needed. I have wore Head and K Swiss which were pretty comfortable but not as comfortable and sturdy as these ASICS. I ended up ordering 2 more pairs and would definitely recommend these shoes.
Pickle 3 –
The performance of the shoe on the court meets all expectations. Many have said to order an extra half size or full size. I have long big toes and I’d prefer open/square toe boxes and this shoe is a more rounded fit. I ordered a half size larger for the GEL-RENMA than my loose fitting GEL-CONTEND 7, and they’re working well for me without getting court toe injuries. I’ve worn them for 4-hour stretches on the court and I don’t have a complaint about discomfort from pressure on the top of the toes when flexing that some have mentioned, but there is some contact there (maybe it changes over time or not but it’s not an issue for me). They are scuffable in white/orange, but can be cleaned. I didn’t know if I’d like the amount of heel left (it’s an average lift) – the lift is more than I’ve used in the past for court shoes but they feel great on the court.

Mostly performs as I expected, and based on reviews, I bought a 1/2 size up to get better fit. Would like it better if it came in a wide version.

Third pair of ASICS. First 2 pairs were tennis sneakers categorized as for applicable for pickleball. Tread did not last that long.
The Renma Pickleball shoe has a firmer sole/tread design, and seems sturdier. Time will tell, but please with my purchase.

very stiff. feet hurt badly after playing in them. gave me a bad blister by my toenail that was very painful. i ended up getting the $100 gel challenger asics (because asics are good to me for running) instead of these $60 asics. the $100 ones are way cushier, have more give, and feel more athletic on the pickeball court. learned my lesson for trying to save a few bucks.

I have slightly wide feet so I ordered an 11.5 instead of my usual 11 and they fit great. These were originally sold as volleyball shoes. I use them for tennis. When they wear out I use them for errands. What is critical for me is that the upper is a leather that breathes and gets soft after breaking in. Usually, court shoes have way too much plastic on top which eventually bothers my foot or the inside wears out. With these Renma shoes I get twice the life out of them vs other tennis shoes and even vs other ASICS.

Love them. I’ve had 3 or 4 pairs now. I play competitive PB 6-7 days a week 2-3 hours a day. These shoes will last me 6-8 months. Very comfortable

Really like these shoes and I’ve had multiple pairs over the past few years. It’s an excellent court shoe, which I use for indoor and outdoor pickleball. It has excellent side to side support, arch support and the requisite type of sole without being heavy. Sometimes I’ve found the availability lacking and I would be sorely disappointed if ASICS ever discontinues it.

I took a chance on ASICS’ new Pickleball shoe and I have to say that I am not disappointed. I have worn ASICS running shoes for many years and they have always been comfortable. The new GEL-RENMA is no different. In addition to the comfort, the traction and stability is great. Every time I had to move quickly and plant my feet for a swing, there was no unpredictability as to where my feet were landing.
