I tried six different pairs of ASICS tennis shoes and these were by far my favorite. Here’s what I liked: roomy toe box (nice for the lovely bunion I seem to be developing), cut low enough so my apparently “low ankles” don’t chafe, very lightweight with nice side to side stability, no heel slippage and my size 9.5 medium feet don’t look enormous. Played three times since purchase and my feet feel great. Bought two more pairs so I have backups!

I tried about 20 different shoes and these finally worked! Looking for pickleball shoes in a narrow is very hard to find. Stylish narrow shoes in general are not easy to find. These slipped slightly in the heel but after I used the “racer’s lock”, that solved the problem. I will try them out and if everything works out, will buy a backup pair.

I am a beginner 6 weeks into taking group tennis lessons and tried out 5 pairs of tennis shoes via Zappos after reading many comments that shoes are more important than racquets at this stage. As a 40-year-old woman, who also goes to the gym and enjoys running, I can’t afford an ankle injury, so took the search for shoes very seriously. Of the five pairs I tried, the Asics Gel-Game 9 was the pair I decided to keep. I got my usual size 7.5 in all pairs and despite my slightly wide feet, the Gel-Game 9 fit well. It’s more snug around my foot than I would usually wear in a pair of off-court shoes, but I think that works well for stability while playing tennis. I liked the ventilation, which no other pair of tennis shoes I tried offered, of the Gel-Game 9 as well as the light weight and flexibility. I also chose the Gel-Game 9 for the roominess in the toes and for the slim profile and attractive aesthetics. I got the white/gris blue and feel it will be easy to match to most workout clothes. The low profile of the shoe gives a lot of room for maneuvering at the ankles, but feels like you sacrifice a bit of stability. If stability were my only priority, I would have gone with the Gel-Dedicate 7, which has more coverage of the foot and has a stiffer more padded upper than gives tons of stability, though I think would be hotter on the feet and possibly harder to move quickly around the court. I also tried and liked the Asics Solution Swift FF and thought they looked even better and were the most flexible of the shoes I tried, but had less toe room and ventilation than the Gel-Game 9.

I have problem feet and these are my third pair. Removeable insole means there is enough space for my bulky custom orthotic which is key for me (its a dealbreaker if I can’t fit it in). I play regularly on hard courts and clay and they hold up great on both surfaces. Just the right amount of slide on clay too. The soles on my last pair did not last a full year, but given that I play a couple of times a week I suppose that’s probably par for the course.

Narrow toe box so will have to return it. Wish they made this shoe in a wide for women for those of us with bunions!

Lightweight. Just what I wanted

This shoes fit perfectly and are instantly comfortable. They are my go to shoes for pickle ball. I always order a 1/2 size up in athletic shoes.

Excellent. Comfy from the get-go.

These are always narrow but after lacing across rather than conventional, they are perfect. Love them.

Very happy with my purchase of these ASICS! I do need to ensure I have enough room in the toe box and also that I have arch and heel support. I tried the shoes on and all sign were good. I then played 2 singles matches on hardcourts over a 3 day span. It was amazing – no foot pain or heel issues in the days following. Supportive and comfortable shoe, grippy on the court, enough room for my foot to not feel pushed/pressure from too narrow of a width (which has never been an issue until tennis.) Incredibly happy with these shoes!

Great Court Shoe, comfy and airy. Best Pickleball shoes ever!
Omine –
Comfortable, great fit right out of the box. Supportive on tennis court. Excellent shoe for a beginner tennis player.

They fit as I expected, I have this in other colors. The garnet color is more of a watermelon shade though. Run true to size. I’m a 7 1/2. I wear these for pickleball.

Beautiful sneaker, but a tad too short. Usually order an 8, went up to 8.5 but need a 9.

Purchased for my daughter for tennis. She likes the style and fit. Find them comfortable. Only thing I think runs small and she had to size up

The shoes fit fine, but when I played tennis in them the bottom of my feet hurt! Such a bummer, since i wore them I assume I can’t return them.

These are incredibly narrow. I could barely get them on. Both sizes had to go back. I’m guessing this brand isn’t for me.

Love these court shoes. No slipping.
